Team Spirit & Milestones: Celebrating Our SWS Family This Quarter
As we wrap up another fantastic and busy second quarter at SWS Group, it’s time to look back at the moments that truly define our culture. Beyond the hard work, tenders, and daily operations, it’s our people and our community that make SWS a remarkable place to be.
This quarter, we had two massive reasons to come together, celebrate, and give back.
🍵Brewing Up Hope: SWS Group’s Biggest Morning Tea
In May, the SWS headquarters transformed into a bustling hub of delicious treats, fresh brews, and generous hearts as we hosted our official Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea.
The team went all out, bringing in an incredible spread of sweet and savory bakes. More importantly, the generosity of our staff shone bright. Thanks to everyone's donations and enthusiastic participation, we successfully raised vital funds to support the Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services.
A massive thank you to everyone who baked, bought, ate, and donated. It’s amazing to see what our team can accomplish when we rally together for a great cause!
Thank you to everyone who baked or supplied goods for our Biggest Morning Tea and for your generous donations. Together we raised over $600 towards the Cancer Council.

🏆A Golden Milestone: Happy Birthday & 50 Years in Laundry Don!
If you hear the hum of a commercial facility, there’s a good chance Don knows exactly how to make it run better, faster, and smoother. This quarter, the SWS team gathered to celebrate a legendary double-milestone for a truly invaluable member of our work family.
Not only did we raise a glass to Don’s birthday, but we also celebrated an incredible, rare milestone: 50 years in the laundry and linen industry!
"Fifty years of dedication, evolution, and expertise is an unbelievable achievement. Don has seen the industry change inside out, and his wealth of knowledge, work ethic, and positive attitude inspire all of us every single day."
Don was only 18 when he started working in a washroom and has spent around three quarters of those years working for the Pelliccia family. Thank you for your service Don!
We celebrated the occasion the best way we know how—with a great cake, plenty of laughs, and a chance to thank Don for his half-century of incredible service and dedication to the craft.
👷Safety First: Looking Out for One Another
With a busy quarter behind us and a lot of momentum moving forward, it is the perfect time to remind ourselves that safety is our number one priority. Whether you are out on the road, managing operations on-site, or working in our facilities, coming home safe at the end of every shift is what matters most.
Safety isn’t just about following protocols and wearing the right gear—it’s about our culture. We need to actively look out for one another. If you see a potential hazard, speak up. If a teammate looks fatigued or needs a hand with a heavy load, step in. By keeping our eyes open and looking after each other, we ensure that SWS remains a safe, supportive, and strong place to work.
Let's keep our standards high and our workplace accident-free.

Pestpro is preparing for a busier-than-usual winter season, signalling a strong period of growth for the business. With two new vehicles recently added to the fleet and new technicians likely to join the team, Pestpro is continuing to build its capacity and strengthen its service offering. Two current technicians are also set to begin formal training with a registered trainer as they work towards completing their pest management licences and becoming fully qualified. This investment in professional development reflects Pestpro’s ongoing commitment to building a skilled, capable team and delivering high-quality service to customers.
🌟 Mid-Year Triumph: A Massive Thank You to the Cleantex Production Team!
As we cross the halfway mark of 2026, we want to take a moment to shine a massive spotlight on our incredible Cleantex Production team. Once again, you have stepped up, pushed through, and delivered outstanding results during our first half of the year.
A huge thank you goes out to every single department on the production floor. Your exceptional teamwork during our recent high-volume, busy weeks has been nothing short of inspiring. Thanks to your dedication, we didn't just maintain our usual standards—we consistently went above and beyond to meet our customers' additional requirements and urgent requests. You are the engine that keeps Cleantex running smoothly!
🚀 What’s Next: Leveling Up Our Stock Control
As we carry this fantastic momentum into the second half of the year, we are also looking at ways to make our operations smarter and your workflows smoother.
To improve our efficiency and meet evolving customer needs, we are currently transitioning our non-coded pieces over to RFID technology.
Why this matters:
- Better Stock Control: Real-time tracking means fewer missing items and more accurate inventory.
- Happier Customers: We can meet and exceed client expectations with precision and speed.
- Smoother Workflows: Less manual sorting and more streamlined processing for everyone on the floor.

Unfortunately, Cleanpro was unsuccessful in securing the cleaning contract for the City of Rockingham meaning we will say goodbye to thirty five of the cleaners who serviced this contract. We would like to thank these team members for all of their efforts in maintaining a high level of cleaning across the City of Rockingham, the feedback we received for their cleaning was always positive. We wish everyone well for their future employment. Thank you Loku for meeting with everyone over the past month.
Stay warm and please keep me updated if any of your personal details have changed.
